FibAlgo® - Oscillator Matrix™

What is the FibAlgo® - Oscillator Matrix™?

FibAlgo® - Oscillator Matrix™ is a next-generation statistical tool that revolutionizes how traders use oscillators. Traditional oscillators rely on fixed, arbitrary levels like 70/30 for "overbought" and "oversold" conditions. The Oscillator Matrix™ discards this outdated approach and instead builds a powerful statistical brain that learns from an asset's unique price history.

It analyzes hundreds of past price tops and bottoms to discover which oscillator values have actually led to reversals. These findings are then visualized as dynamic, data-driven zones on your chosen oscillator (RSI, MFI, Stochastic, and more).

The indicator is a complete analysis suite, featuring:

A Choice of 6 Core Oscillators: The entire statistical engine adapts to your preferred tool.

An Advanced Statistical Analysis Table: A detailed dashboard showing the historical significance and performance of every identified zone.

An Adaptive "Data Decay" Engine: A smart feature that gives more weight to recent market behavior.

This is the ultimate tool for traders who want to make decisions based on historical probability, not arbitrary lines.

The Core Concepts Behind It

A. The Statistical Brain

This is the heart of the indicator. It works by constantly learning from the market:

It finds historical price peaks (tops) and troughs (bottoms) using a sensitive pivot detection algorithm.

For every identified pivot, it looks back and records the exact value of your chosen oscillator at that moment.

It then groups these hundreds of data points into categories (e.g., RSI values of '85-90', '90-95', etc.) and calculates which zones have appeared most frequently at tops and bottoms.

The "Data Decay" feature makes this brain adaptive, giving more statistical importance to the most recent market data.

B. Dynamic Overbought/Oversold Bands

The results of the statistical analysis are visualized as two dynamic bands on your oscillator:

Maroon Band (Peak Zone): This band highlights the oscillator range where price peaks have historically occurred most often. It is your dynamic, statistically-proven overbought or resistance zone.

Teal Band (Trough Zone): This band highlights the range where price troughs have occurred most often. It is your dynamic, data-driven oversold or support zone.

These bands are not static; they will move and adapt as the indicator analyzes new price action.

C. The Advanced Analysis Table (The "Matrix")

This table is your command center, providing a deep dive into the statistical data. It is split into two sections: PH (Price High) analysis and PL (Price Low) analysis. Here's what the columns mean:

Zone: The specific oscillator value range.

Count: The weighted number of times a pivot has occurred in that zone.

Conf% (Confidence): Shows how often pivots occurred in this zone compared to all others. A high percentage indicates a historically significant reversal area.

Avg Drop% / Avg Rise%: A powerful performance metric. It shows the average percentage the price moved after a pivot occurred in that zone. For PH, it shows the average drop; for PL, it shows the average rise.

Avg Time: Shows the average number of bars it took for the maximum price move (drop or rise) to happen.

A Practical Trading Strategy

The Oscillator Matrix™ is designed for a data-driven, two-step trading approach.

For Sell Signals:

Initial Signal: Look for the oscillator to enter the Maroon Band (Peak Zone). This is a warning that the oscillator has reached a statistically significant overbought level.

Confirmation: Immediately check the Analysis Table. Find the corresponding zone and look for a high

"Conf%" and a significant "Avg Drop%." This data provides strong confirmation for a potential short trade.

For Buy Signals:

Initial Signal: Look for the oscillator to enter the Teal Band (Trough Zone). This indicates the oscillator has reached a statistically important oversold level.

Confirmation: Refer to the Analysis Table. A zone with high

"Conf%" and a strong "Avg Rise%" provides data-backed evidence for a potential long trade.

Settings Explained

Choose Main Oscillator

Indicator Type: Select the core oscillator you want the statistical engine to analyze. Options include RSI, MFI, Momentum, Stochastic, Stochastic RSI, and Chaikin Money Flow.

Oscillator-Specific Tabs: Each oscillator has its own settings tab (e.g., "RSI Settings," "Stochastic Settings") where you can fine-tune its parameters like length and smoothing.

Algorithm Settings

PH/PL Period: Controls the sensitivity of the pivot detection algorithm. Lower values find more frequent, smaller swings, while higher values focus on major market turning points.

Lookback Pivots for Analysis: Defines how many past price pivots the "brain" should analyze. A higher number provides more robust statistics but may update slower.

Enable Data Decay: Toggles the adaptive feature that gives more weight to recent data. The Decay Rate controls how heavily recent data is favored.

Enable Performance Analysis: Toggles the visibility of the "Avg Drop%/Rise%" and "Avg Time" columns in the Analysis Table.

Bars to Check Performance sets how far forward the indicator looks to calculate these metrics.
